The Dallas Society of Visual Communications is looking for the next iconic look for our annual T-shirt Design Competition. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or an emerging talent, we want to see your original creative vision.

    Eligibility

    • Open to all DSVC members and non-members in the graphic arts community.
    • Participants must be at least 18 years old.
    • Group submissions are allowed (maximum of 3 people per group).

    Submission Guidelines

    • Designs must be original and created specifically for this competition.
    • We discourage any AI prompted or aided designs, this is an opportunity to be creative.
    • Each participant may submit up to two designs.
    • Designs must incorporate the DSVC logo or name in some form.
    • Submissions should be a one-color design in vector format (AI, EPS, or PDF) and include a mockup on a white, black or color T-shirt.
    • Designs should be appropriate for all audiences (no offensive or inappropriate content).
    • Include a brief description (100 words max) explaining your concept and inspiration.

    Submission Process

    • All entries must be submitted electronically via the DSVC competition portal (add link here).
    • Deadline for submissions: 07/31/2026, 11:59 PM CST.
    • Late submissions will not be considered.

    Judging Criteria

    • Creativity and originality
    • Visual impact and aesthetic appeal
    • Clear representation of DSVC's values and mission
    • Wearability and practicality of the design

    Winner Selection & Prizes

    • Winners will be selected by a panel of DSVC board members and guest judges from the local visual arts community.
    • Top three designs will be featured at the annual DSVC Kick off party in August and in DSVC promotional materials.
    • The winning designer(s) will receive a $100 cash prize and complimentary DSVC membership for one year.

    Intellectual Property

    • By submitting a design, participants grant DSVC the right to use, reproduce, and display the design for promotional and merchandising purposes.
    • Designers retain credit for their work; DSVC will attribute all designs appropriately.

    General Conditions

    • DSVC reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not adhere to these rules or contains inappropriate material.
    • Decisions by the judging panel are final.
    • DSVC is not responsible for technical issues or lost submissions.
